Conservative Cosmetic Dentistry
Dental Aesthetics in Istanbul
Dental aesthetics is offered as a complementary, carefully planned service for women who would like a healthier, more natural-looking smile. Our emphasis is on conservative, minimally invasive dentistry delivered by qualified dentists and prosthodontists at selected dental clinics in Istanbul.

Women's Health Istanbul is not a dental tourism service, and we do not promote high-volume, one-size-fits-all smile packages. Cosmetic dentistry sits alongside our other aesthetic services as a considered option for women who want to improve the colour, shape, alignment or completeness of their teeth, and who value long-term oral health as much as appearance. Treatment is carried out by independent, licensed dentists and prosthodontists working in selected dental clinics in Istanbul, and every plan begins with a full clinical examination, radiographs and an honest discussion of what is genuinely needed.
The guiding principle is to preserve healthy tooth structure. Enamel does not grow back, and once a tooth has been heavily reduced it will usually need restorations for life. In recent years many people have become aware of the problems associated with aggressive full-mouth crown preparations, often described in the media as 'Turkey teeth', where healthy teeth are filed down to small stumps to place crowns that could have been avoided. Over-preparation can lead to sensitivity, nerve damage, root canal treatment, gum problems and a smile that looks bulky or artificial. Careful case selection matters: whitening, bonding, orthodontic alignment or minimal-preparation veneers may achieve a natural result with far less biological cost, and crowns are reserved for teeth that are already heavily restored, cracked or weakened.
Realistic planning also includes time. Veneers and crowns are typically completed over several appointments within one stay, while dental implants need a healing period, known as osseointegration, during which the implant bonds with the jawbone. This often takes a few months, so implant treatment usually involves two separate visits to Istanbul. Your dentist will explain the sequence, the alternatives, the maintenance required at home and how follow-up will be arranged with your local dentist. Results vary between individuals, and a good plan is one you fully understand before any tooth is prepared.

Dental Aesthetics: questions
Is this a dental tourism package?
No. Dental aesthetics is offered as a complementary, carefully assessed service. We do not sell fixed smile packages. An independent dentist or prosthodontist examines you, explains conservative options first and recommends only the treatment that is clinically appropriate for you.
How do you avoid the 'Turkey teeth' problem?
The concern usually relates to healthy teeth being heavily filed down for full-mouth crowns. Our approach favours minimally invasive options such as whitening, bonding and minimal-preparation veneers where suitable, with crowns reserved for teeth that genuinely need them. You should always ask how much tooth structure will be removed and why.
How many visits will I need?
Whitening, bonding, veneers and crowns are often completed within one stay of around 5–10 days, depending on the number of teeth. Dental implants usually require two visits separated by a healing period of a few months. Your dentist will confirm the timeline after assessment.
Who carries out the treatment?
Treatment is provided by independent, licensed dentists and prosthodontists at selected dental clinics in Istanbul. Women's Health Istanbul coordinates your care but is not a clinic and does not provide dental treatment itself.
How much does cosmetic dentistry cost in Turkey?
Cost depends on the number of teeth, the materials used, laboratory work, whether imaging or preliminary treatment such as gum care or fillings is needed, and the number of visits. You receive a personalised written quote after assessment. Choose your dentist based on clinical quality, not price alone.
What happens if I need adjustments after I return home?
Before you leave, your dentist will check your bite and provide written records of the work completed and materials used. Minor adjustments can often be handled by your local dentist, and remote follow-up is arranged. Regular check-ups and hygiene visits at home remain essential.
