Travel & Accommodation
Everything you need can be coordinated before you arrive in Istanbul — so the practical details are taken care of and your time is spent resting and recovering.

Planning your trip
Your recommended length of stay depends on the procedure and is set out in your written treatment plan. As a guide, minor treatments may need a few days in Istanbul, while breast, body or combined procedures commonly require around one to two weeks.
We suggest flexible flight tickets, as your return date is confirmed by your surgeon at your final check.
- Check passport validity and visa requirements for your nationality
- Arrange travel insurance suitable for medical travel
- Bring medical records, test results and a list of your medications
- Pack loose, front-opening clothing and comfortable shoes
- Plan for a companion if your surgeon recommends one
Airport transfers
A private driver can meet you at Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) and take you to your hotel. Transfers between your hotel and the hospital for appointments can also be arranged, as well as your departure transfer.
Interpreter support
Our patient coordinators speak English. Interpreter support can be arranged for consultations and your hospital stay where needed. Please tell us your preferred language when you enquire.
Travelling with a companion
A partner, friend or family member is welcome. Hospital rooms usually allow a companion to stay, subject to hospital policy. For longer or combined procedures your surgeon may recommend that someone travels with you.
Getting around Istanbul
Istanbul is a large city and traffic can be heavy, so we plan appointment times and transfers carefully. During your recovery we recommend rest rather than sightseeing; if you would like to see the city, consider arriving a few days before your consultation.
